Trades
Players, cap space, and draft picks can all be traded. The trade deadline will be announced every year.
After the playoffs the trade season picks up again.
Any teams who are over the salary cap during the off-season for upcoming season, can make the necessary trades to get below the cap, however all moves made during must be made in a manner which to reduce the total salary of the team for the upcoming season.
Trading Draft Picks
Draft picks for the next 2 drafts can be exchanged. Ex. Once the 2013 draft is completed then 2014 & 2015 can be traded.
Trading Cash
Cash can be transferred in a deal to cover a contract going either way, but the amount may be no more than the largest single contract in the deal. You can only cover one contract per deal. Cash transactions can be traded for current year and following year only.
Second round picks can be traded for their contractual value of up to $1m - Cash can be traded for the year of the pick only.
Trades Committee
The commissioner will be in charge of ruling on each trade. He will thoroughly and carefully look through every trade and consider every angle while reviewing a trade. There are guidelines as well.
1. Any league member can comment and review a trade as well, posting all thoughts (by members only), which will be taken into consideration while reviewing a trade. Any postings on trades will be considered when picking active members for ProFSL points.
2. 48 hours after both parties have accepted the trade and the trade has been approved by proper vote, it will pass.
3. If a trade is questioned for the right reasons (veto) that 48 hour clock will extend to at least 72 hours.
4. If for any reason a trade sits for 72 hours and no negative comments or vetoes were made in the post, then the trade passes.
70% of vote needs to approve trade in order for trade to pass. Vetoing without reason will not tally a veto, reasons need to be defended.
